Inspired by Jamie Alvey’s vision, Ascension now has a string band that plays for a folk music service once a month and at special events. The core band includes Ross Parker on stand-up bass, Jamie Alvey on fiddle, Laura Vines on banjo/lead vocals, Josh Bennett on guitar, and Bailey Hill on mandolin.
