On Thursday, May 8, 7:00 pm, The Choral Group Colla Voce will present their last program for the year. We have enjoyed hosting their residency and they have already presented two outstanding programs. About the May 8th program entitled “Light” their director, Todd Norton, says….
“The theme of our May program is "Light". Jesus said, "I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." Hear the beautiful music of Morton Lauridsen - his five-movement work, Lux Aeterna (1997), has become very popular in America. Lauridsen is an American composer of Danish origin.”
Colla Voce is made up of singers from several area churches and has presented a wide variety of outstanding programs. The group has chosen Ascension for their home for the 2007/08 season. Todd Norton directs and Diane Norton is the organist. Visit their site at: http://www.withthevoice.org/
